Steve Ditko and Jack Kirby’s 1962 cover art for Amazing Fantasy #15 provides the background for Alan Quah and Mufizal Mokhtar’s thrilling interpretation, bringing the classic up to date for a new generation of fans.
Spider-Man, tethered by a skein of webbing, leaps out in an action-packed sculpture, the bonded porcelain figure of a terrified mobster firmly in the pewter webslinger’s grasp. In 2011, Amazing Fantasy #15, significant for introducing Spider-Man and his origin story, became the second comic book to cross the US $1 million thresholds at auction.
The pewter Spider-Man features a satin finish against a colored 1962 cover. This limited-edition figurine has an edition size of 800 worldwide and includes a certificate of authenticity.
